The back ground
I am originally Egyptian and studied Egyptology to become and work as a tour guide in Egypt before I moved to the UK 20 years ago. I was exposed to lots of historical facts about ancient Egyptians use of herbs and oils starting from religious rituals to the impressive techniques of mummification. This left me thinking about it for a while.
What had really changed this from admiration to curiosity and interest was a film that was based on a true story, Lorenzo’s Oil. The story made me to think seriously about getting deep into this fascinating subject ever since.
About seven years ago, I took the first serious step into my journey through Alternative Therapy study because of my background and the known fact that We Are What We Eat.
Now, let me explain a bit about this; the food we eat the surroundings where we live in and our life style plays a very important rule in our life and health.

Hippocrates, the father of western medicine, advocated diet as the chief way to prevent and treat disease or that George Macilwain knew that diet was the way to prevent and treat disease or that the man instrumental in founding the American Cancer Society, Frederick Hoffman, new that diet was the way to prevent and treat disease. How did Plato predict the future, so accurately? He knew that consuming animal foods would not lead to true health and prosperity.
Nature Cure focuses on cleansing the body, removing accumulated waste matter and toxins, and improving overall vitality. Other important aims are to improve nutritional status through good eating practices and to ‘restore the spirit’ by boosting confidence, stimulating hope, and encouraging self empowerment and self-help.
Mind-Body Connection
The mind is one of the most powerful tools you have for healing and health. Your state of mind has a huge impact on how your body reacts to stress – whether it react in health–harming ways or in health-protective ways. It is estimated that about 70% of medical visits are either directly or indirectly related to stress.
Stress is a physical or an emotional factor that causes bodily or mental tension. But there is the key: it is your perception of an event that determines whether or not your body experience it as stressful. While many events are inherently stressful, you can use the mind to significantly impact the body’s response to the stresses. This mind-body connection is the key that opens the door for protecting your body and mind from the significant health risks of stress.
Stress causes many physiological changes in your body as it activates a number of different hormones. These changes raise your heart rate, increase your blood pressure and blood sugar, and have major effects on your immune system. White these responses might be helpful in the sort term; chronic stress clearly contributes to health problems, including high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and cancer.

Since massage affects circulation of the blood, the muscles, the nervous system, and organs of the body, in addition to being a most effective treatment for symptoms arising directly from stress situations, massage can greatly reduce pain in many arthritic and rheumatic conditions, it can hasten a number of the body's processes for healing, and actually change a person's psychological mood.
